First Grade Religion

Welcome to 1st grade religion! My name is Mrs. Meisenheimer.  I am the 2nd grade teacher at St. Malachy. I will be teaching religion to the first grade class this year while Mrs. Levine teaches social studies to the second grade.  Be sure to check back to this page every so often to see what your child is learning in religion throughout the school year.  If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail me at jmeisenheimer@crestonstmalachy.org.

Below are the three prayers that we will be focusing on throughout the school year.  We will practice them in class, but any help from home is always appreciated! Thank you for your support!

Angel of God:

Angel of God, my guardian dear,
to whom God's love commits me here,
ever this day be at my side,
to light and guard, to rule and guide.
Amen.  

Glory Be:

Glory be to the Father
and to the Son
 and to the Holy Spirit,
 as it was in the beginning
 is now, and ever shall be
world without end.
Amen.

Hail Mary:

Hail, Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
